The custom surfboard is the cornerstone of our surfing experience and we take it very seriously. It is an art, craft, science all rolled into one special package. When working with La Misión Surf and The Surf Continuum you get a wealth of knowledge not only from experienced board builders, but long time surf educators and riders of the boards themselves as well.
That combined knowledge of craft and how it relates to the students surfing sets us apart from the hundreds of qualified companies offering custom boards. The participant will come away with a deeper appreciation of the process of how a board is made which directly influences their connection to the board and ocean.
Every aspect of the board is customizable and we take the time through email, text, call, and video to inform the customer about the pros and cons of each decision made like which foam density, stringer, outline, fin set-up, and glassing schedule best suit their needs. The color and artwork is a special piece to the puzzle. Between shaper and glasser the world of color alone will inspire a creative approach to designing a one-off custom board.
These boards are made to last with each of the finest materials available in the industry. They have been tested under the most capable surfers in a variety of locations from California, New York, Hawaii, and other far flung surf destinations across the globe.
