Dropping Into Steep Waves

Jim signed in to ask his question about negotiating steep drops on a long board. Here’s some of my thoughts on the matter, and how I manage to make steep drops when I’m riding my longer boards. Biggest take aways: paddle strong, use good paddling technique, catch the wave square AND THEN “angle” aka set your rail.
